Lavaná Cosmetics- Haul and Review

There is nothing better than having a long hard day, getting home and running yourself a deep warm bath. There are so many bath companies releasing new exciting bombs, it can be hard to chose where to shop! If you are in that tricky situation where you do not know which Independent Bath Company’s website to visit. VISIT LAVANA. Keep reading and I will tell you why.

Over the last few months, I have watched this company go from ‘Lavana Botanicals’ to ‘Lavana Cosmetics’ and  watched their followers go up and up and UP and it is so well deserved. Lavana is a ‘luxury handmade cosmetics and wax company’, safely tested, cruelty free and amazingly scented and is owned by a lovely lady called Verity. A while back I was lucky enough to be sent a few bombs to try and you can read a review of one here. I have made multiple purchases from this company since and whilst Verity makes and creates lots of different wonderful products such as wax melts and candles….of courseeee I am going to be talking about the BATH BOMBS.

IMG_4989This is worth mentioning separating. Each of Lavana’s bath bombs contain Vitamin E Oil which is really good for your skin leaving it soft and healthy. This is one of the reasons why their bath bombs feel so incredibly soft in the water and on your skin.

Coconut Butter Ball

Okay so this is one of my all time favourite bath bombs and I have tried A LOT of different bath bombs from different companies. There are so many things I love about this bomb. Firstly the smell. Oh my gosh. The smell. Coconut is one of my favourites scents and the smell of this bomb did not disappoint. It is really soft and creamy and most importantly smells NATURAL. It smells like you have just sliced open a coconut which has just fallen out the tree in the Caribbean. The ‘Butterballs’ from Lavana are full of Shea Butter and you can really feel this in the water and on your skin afterwards. You can also see the shea butter leaving the bath bomb and dissolving into the water which is very pleasing to watch. The design is so pretty, the brown top of the bomb is shimmery. The bath does not turn a specific colour, but who cares, it is still an amazing bomb. You really need to try it.

Raspberry Butter Ball

IMG_9756If you want to read more about the Raspberry Butterball bath bomb then visit my previous post reviewing this lovely bomb. What I will mention though is that this bomb smells like freshly picked raspberries, not artificial. I have used this product a few times as it is one of my faves from Lavana. One time using it, I plopped it in the bath water and left the room to go and get my towel etc, I came back and the smell from this bomb had filled the whole room. The next day, I woke up and I couldn’t believe how soft my feet were. The softest I had ever had them feel.

Raspberry Butter Ball Bath Dust

Exactly the same as the bath bomb but in a powdery ‘dust’ form, it even contained the chunks of Shea Butter. Bath Dust is great if you only want to use a little bit of bath product, if you want a shorter bath and if you want to create a bath cocktail(my fave). Lavana sometimes sell these on their website and Verity sometimes includes samples with your order!

Rainbow Bomb

(You will have to bare with me whilst I try and review this bomb, I never made any notes and it is not currently on the Lavana Website)

I thought this bomb didn’t have as such a strong smell (compared to the others) it is so unbelievable pretty though! Regarding the smell,  this bomb overall had a very soft sweet ‘nature’ smell. But what I can remember from the Rainbow Bomb was how pretty it was to watch in the water! Once placed in the water it started fizzing and the delicate paint on the top of the bomb started running into the water in different directions. This bomb also had colours running throughout it, leaving very pretty bath art. As well as being very aesthetically pleasing to watch.

Mermaid Tails

IMG_0298One of the prettiest looking bath bombs ever and the perfect shade of blue. So glittery and once dissolved, it really looks like water you would find in a Mermaid’s Cave. I was lucky enough to have a bomb which included a shell hand-picked by Verity. As she has got so popular, she keeps running out of shells! Much like the rest of the bath bombs from Lavana, this bomb had a very natural fresh smell, fruity and fresh! The smells comes through a lot stronger once the bomb has fully dissolved in the water. The bomb has a slow fizz, but very fizzy and frothy.

So, there you have it! I thoroughly enjoyed writing this blog post.  I felt excited knowing that I have got so many other products left to try from Lavana Cosmetics. Honestly, treat yourself and support indie businesses and check out Lavana!!

Follow their Instagram account for updates on re-stocks!

Thank you for reading, which bath bomb do you like the sound of the most?

It’s so refreshing to read about bath bombs other than those by lush! Don’t get me wrong, I loge Lush, but I’ve been looking for alternatives for ages. I love the sound of mermaid tails!

Ooh that raspberry butter ball sounds DIVINE. It’s so nice to read about independent bath bomb companies. As a student living in halls, I’m definitely looking forward to going home over the summer and being able to have baths and use some lovely bath bombs!

    Love, Soph x

I love bath bombs! I usually get mine from Lush but I have been looking for new places to try, this was a great post.

Great review and these look lovely! Coconut is also one of my favourite smells too so I’d be tempted to try that one. I really like the added touch of the shell in the mermaid bathbomb. My problem is I don’t take many baths, I’m always usually in the shower instead. Maybe if I invested in more bathbombs I’d be inclined to take more baths!

I miss having a bath tub b/c I LOVED using bath bombs! I’m actually not a fan of coconut so the Coconut Butter Ball wouldn’t be for me, but the Raspberry Butter Ball & Mermaid Tails ones sound perfect! I love the blue from Mermaid Tails!
