Hi everyone, I hope that those who celebrated had a wonderful Christmas. I am currently writing this up on boxing day with a cup of tea, fire is on and I am watching a nature documentary. It is my first time in 2 years not working Boxing Day and I am absolutely loving it. I want to relax and enjoy the time I am giving myself off from university work so this will be a relatively short blog post (I think).
I know Christmas is over but I am not finished with the Christmas themed-posts just yet! As you all know by now I am a bath lover! I have tried a lot of Indie Bath companies as well as well known companies too. For the first time, I ordered from Bath Bake Love and this is a little haul and review of what I got!
Buche de Noel- Bath Dessert
Buche de Noel smells like fresh, creamy, milky, sweet chocolate. It smells good enough to eat, seriously. I have got a funny story about this one, the first time I smelt it my stomach grumbled, that is how good it smells, another time my mum witnessed it. I was explaining that story to my sister and she was looking at me like I was talking utter sh*t and then she gave it a smell and HER BELLY GRUMBLED. Honestly, this product smells so bloody good. The texture is really fluffy and soft, it feels similar to marshmallow fluff. It is really lovely to use. I am not even sure if the brown on the top is chocolate but it melts in your hands like it is. This can be used in many different ways, I shave my legs with this product and it leaves them so soft. The smell also lingers.
Snow Sugar-Bath Parfait
It is hard to describe the smell of this Bath Parfait, it is just really sweet, but not a ‘Snow Fairy Lush’ sweet, more of a ‘room full of freshly baked cookies and icing sugar’ sweet. It smells like sugar cookies and everything scrumptious. They describe this product themselves as smelling like “caramelised dome of vanilla-filled delight” and I think that describes it pretty well. The design is so beautiful as you can see from the pictures, the gold lustre is incredible. This product is basically a shower jelly, I am not the biggest fan of shower jellies as they can be hard to use. This product is very delicate and easily slips and slides, but it by far has the nicest smell, better than any other shower jellies I have used. However, it does lather really nice and creates small bubbles, this product is great for bath cocktails. If anyone has any tips on how to use shower jellies then please let me know!
Gold Nog- Bubble Milk
I wish I had took a better image so you could really see how pretty this product is. It is full of a shimmery, glittery gold liquid. It doesn’t change the water a different colour but it leaves a pretty shimmer running throughout it and makes incredible bubbles. The more you use, the more bubbles. I reckon you could get a lot of baths out of it. It leaves the water really silky too, I just wish the product was a little thicker. This is another product that has a smell that is hard to describe, this product smells very festive and milky and spicy, a really lovely to smell. Not only can you smell the scent whilst you are in the water, but it also lingers on your skin. Another product from Bath Bake Love that is great for bath cocktails.
Gingerbread Muffin- Bath Cream
I don’t know how Bath Bake Love create products that are so pleasing to use. This Bath Creams feels like when you whip butter and sugar together and it goes really creamy. Gingerbread Muffin Bath Cream lathers the best out of them all, it is so thick and leaves your skin so soft, also making it great to shave with. On the back the label reads ‘creamy whip scrub’ and there is a slight scrub to this which makes it even more moisturising, the product really does feel and look like a gingerbread muffin. It smells like a gingerbread muffin too, very sweet and spicy. The design is so creative, it just looks absolutely stunning, good enough to eat.
Fudge de Leche – Bath Cream
This product from Bath Bake Love doesn’t look as pretty and eatable as the others but it is still pretty damn good. It smells a little similar to Butch de Noel but a lot less chocolatey and more ‘fudgey’. All of the whips are very light and airy but this one is a lot more than the others, making it feel incredibly soft. The texture in your hands is like chocolate moose. I used this as a ‘bubble bath’ and whilst it didn’t make that many bubbles it did turn the water very milky and creamy. I love that even though this product is slightly plain, gold lustre still runs throughout the product and their are lumps of what I am guessing is some sort of skin butter which make the product more fun to use. This product is an ‘all year round product’ but I decided to order it too as it is still very festive.
There you have my little order from Bath Bake Love. All of their products are vegan, cruelty free, sls free and synthetic free. Great to use in the bath or shower. The shop reopens early 2019, 2nd Jan and you have to be quick with their next selection of goodies, follow them on Instagram for sneak peaks.
I know I said this post was going to be short….I lied, but if you have made it this far and have actually read it, then honestly thank you so so much. I am forever grateful. Let me know which product you like the sound of the most!
