5 Songs That Are Going To Get Me Through University

Hey people, I have recently started my last year of university, I am officially a third year student, do you know what that means? STRESS. This is going to be one of the most stressful years of my whole entire life. Do you know what is going to get me through it? MUSIC.

This blog post is a list of the songs that are going to help me throughout the year. These are the songs that I will play LOUD on some  Panasonic Wireless Speakers every time I need calming down, a mood uplift and motivation. Are you ready to see my very wide range of music taste?

1.Mac Miller-Best Day Ever

I have got to put Mac at the top. I was absolutely  devastated when I heard the news. Mac Miller’s older songs helped me so much throughout secondary school. His positive lyrics will always make me feel better. I know I can always count on his music to make me smile. R.I.P xxx

“No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile, pursuit to be happy, only laughing like a child. I never thought life would be this sweet, It got me cheesin from cheek to cheek. And I ain’t going to wait for nothing, cause that just ain’t my style. Life couldn’t get better, This could be the best day ever”

 2. The 1975- You

Now, this is not one of my favourite songs because of the lyrics at all. The 1975 are and always will be one of my favourite bands, there is something about the majority of their songs that makes me feel better.  I chose You because when I went to see The 1975 live in 2014, this was the last song they performed and it made me feel ALIVE. I love the music in this song so bloody much. I am seeing them again in Jan, I can’t wait!

3. Bob Marley- Three Little Birds

I feel like this in a generic one,  but of course I have got to include Bob Marley. He has got some amazing songs. His lyrics are remarkable but this is the song that automatically gives you that reassurance. The song that makes you feel better. That makes you smile.

“Three little birds,  by my doorstep, singin sweet songs of melodies pure and true, saying this is my message to you-ou-ou.  Singing don’t worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be all right”.

Rihanna- Work

I had to put bad gal Rih Rih in here. Work is the song I listen to on the way to university. It is a Monday morning, I am feeling stressed and anxious. Listening to this song makes me feel so much better. It is so upbeat. Instantly puts you in a great mood. Rihanna is also a QUEEN.

Keri Hilson- Pretty Girl Rock

Okay, so this is the song that you listen to when you need reminding how much of a bad bitch you are. Trust me. Next time you are feeling rubbish, listen to this song, sing along to the lyrics and watch the video which includes Keri performing as some of the most iconic women. GIRL POWER.

“I can talk about it cause I know that I’m pretty and if you know it too, then ladies sing it with me.  All eyes on me when I walk in. No question that this girl’s a ten, don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful”.

A few honourable mentions that I will also be blasting out on some  Panasonic Wireless Speakers.

Destiny’s Child- I’m a Survivor,  M.I.A- Paperplanes, J-Hus – Did You See What I Done,  TLC-Scrubs, Mac Miller- Senior Skip Day, Sean Paul- Like Glue, Rihanna- Bitch Better Have My Money.

What songs will you be listening to a lot this year?

Thanks so much to Panasonic for sponsoring this post x

You’ve got a great mix of songs here! I’m a lot like you in that I love a lot of different genres of music I’ll literally listen to anything. I heard the new Jess Glynne album yesterday which is pretty good!

My university days are a distant memory but I’ve been listening to a lot of old CDs while using the exercise bike recently. I find cycling uber boring but something like The Killers is so motivational, especially when blasting out loud first thing in the morning 🙂 Good luck with your final year, I’m sure your music choices will help you! xx
