‘Totally selfish, indulgent, in love with yourself products’…what more could you want? What’s in it for me? are a brand that I have very quickly fallen in love with. Before my holidays I received these 2 products and this blog post is a review of the body scrub and shower scrub. But wait, what is the difference between a body scrub and a shower scrub? Which one is for me? Carrying on reading and you will find out!
Main ingredients: Eucalyptus Oil, Rose Oil, Root Ginger, Sea Salts, Pineapple Extract, Lemon Extract, Jojoba Oil.
Smell:I got SO excited when I smelt this product for the first time, it immediately took me back to my childhood. I think it smells like strong orange/pineapple squash, you know before you dilute it? It smells so fruity and fresh, I guarantee you will love it. The smell is especially great for this summer heatwave we have been having, start your day off fruity!!
Review: Everything about this product is amazing, literally everything I don’t know where to start. I used this product for a couple weeks straight every time I had a bath/shower because I was enjoying it so much. The texture is quite jelly and when I first tried it I was concerned that it wouldn’t exfoliate as well because it is quite a soft scrub, but I was wrong. Every single time I use this product my legs/arms/body feel SO soft and exfoliated. So even though it is a soft scrub, it does the job. Because of the liquid/gel texture, this leaves you feeling SQUEAKY CLEAN. This product honestly ticks all the boxes. Does it exfoliate you? YES. Does it make your skin soft? YES. DOES IT LATHER WELL? YES. DOES IT SMELL NICE? YES. DOES THE SMELL LINGERER? YES!
Main ingredients: Walnut Shell, Almond Oil, Orange and Jasmine Flower Extract.
Smell: Sweet soft jasmine with a hint of nuttiness. That’s what I think this scrub smells like. Completely different to the previous scrub and a much softer smell. But still very pleasant. Especially if you are a Jasmine scent lover, add this to your collection!
Review: The walnut shells act as a great exfoliator, making my skin extremely soft and silky every time I use it. Whilst both of these products make my skin soft, I think this shower scrub makes me skin more “silky” if that makes sense?? More slippy and moist. Much like the Body Scrub, a little goes a long way. This is quite a small package so it is great for taking on your holidays! The smell does linger on my skin but not as much as the Body Scrub because it is a much softer scent.
Tips: Both are really great products to use before you shave your legs because they exfoliate all the dry skin off your legs leaving them super soft and moisturised. Sometimes shaving your legs can automatically dry them out, so if this happens to you then use this body scrub for the extra moisture! The shower scrub contains Almond Oil which contains lots of Vitamin E which is really beneficial for your skin. The body scrub contain Rose Oil and rose is great for out your skin tone!
What I would change: The only thing I would change about these products is that I wish they were both had more “scrubbier” as I like a rough feeling scrub. However, because these a very gentle scrubs, they will be AMAZING for sensitive skin, especially because they are packed with natural ingredients.
The difference: A massive difference would be the ingredients and the smell but another difference would be the mood. As the body scrub is a much more uplifting fragrance, I love to use this product for my morning baths/showers. Gets me feeling lively and bubbly for the rest of the day. Then for my night time bath/showers, the shower scrub is perfect for relaxation time.
Hopefully reading these two reviews you will be able to know which you prefer, or if you like them both the same. These are both great products. Make sure to check out What’s in it for me? on Instagram @whatsinitformeuk
